These don't seem like having that design flaw (one piece of material wrapped around foam an glued at the ends) as these have a 3 piece design with 2 walls and one top (inner and outer walls made out of eco leather and then a thin valve top).
This gives it a more square look, but also, less pressure on the glue that holds the whole thing together.
They are comfy for long wearing sessions and they seal better compared to the original ones.
Due to the better seal, these also introduce a bit more bass/low end in the sound as the sound is trapped by the leather walls.
I use the Harman Curve EQ on these so this is not a problem at all, but it might be too much bass/low end if you are, for some reason, still using the default EQ presets.
The cooling gel works, but don't expect magic out of it.
My longest wearing session with these was around 7 hours and they never got uncomfortably hot and sweaty which is pretty impressive taking into account the leather walls.
All in all, great replacements and I feel like these are better than the original ones, at least in terms of their design and seal.
Will see how the materials hold up in the long term as I only had them for a week.
